このことばを聞いたことはありますか？
慶良間（諸島）はみえるけど、（自分の）まつ毛はみえない、という意味です
つまり、遠くのものはみえても、近すぎるものはみえない、ひるがえって、近くのたいせつなものを見失っていませんか？というメッセージが込められています
シンプルにうちなーぐちを勉強したいひとのコーディネート（お手伝い）をしたいというところから始めた、わたしの人生の一大プロジェクトですが、
なぜうちなーぐちを学ぶのか、自分自身かんがえたとき、自分の生まれ育った島のことばをたいせつにしたい、と思うようになったから始めた経緯があります
「まちげー」ということばには「まちがい」という意味もあります。言語学習にとって「まちがう」ことはとてもたいせつです。なので、たくさんまちがって、たくさんきづき、たくさん学ぶ、そういう思いも上のメッセージには込められています
わたしもみなさんも、たいせつなものはそれぞれ違うと思います。それぞれのたいせつなものをたいせつにしながら、コーディネートしますので、

It means ‘Kirama Islands are visible, but not my own eyelashes.’
In other words, it conveys the idea that while we can clearly see things far away, we often overlook things that are too close. Are we, perhaps, losing sight of the important things right in front of us?
It all started with my desire to simply help coordinate (or assist) those who wanted to study Uchinaaguchi, and it has since become the biggest project of my life.
When I thought about why I wanted to learn Uchinaaguchi, I realized it was because I wanted to cherish the language of the island where I was born and raised. That is how it all began.
The word ‘machigee’ also means ‘mistake.’ Making mistakes is very important when it comes to language learning. That is why the message above also carries the idea of making many mistakes, gaining many insights, and learning a lot through the process.
I believe that what is important varies for each of us. While valuing what is important to each individual, I will assist and coordinate accordingly.
